Chinese Book Fair

Is on Now till 29Nov2009 @ Mines Convention Centre.

And Yes, I've been there and bought another books. Yeay!


These are the books that I bought. Cheap -all having 20% discount- total for me to pay was less than rm130 (for all 5 books). I like :)

Ada jugak buku about quilting, crocheting, knitting but since I've already bought those books from Acmamall.com, I'm satisfied to just settling with sewing books.

Big Apple bedsheets

Its been months my sewing corner was left alone with dust. And its kinda sad when you really want to sew but losing the mojo. I did sew few baju kurung(s) for Raya Haji but only managed to finish the baju but never the kain.. been so malas and out of mood.

So in order to start back, I did something that is quick to sew, simple (just sew from one end to the other, no renda and such), nice and practical that is the bedsheets and pillow cases. And YES, this is indeed a very quick sewn projects which I managed to do it within 2 hours. And of course, I'm happy with the outcomes.

Btw, the fabrics was bought in pasar malam in Ipoh for rm3 per meter.

And now, I'm currently doing a new project made with leftover fabrics. (YEAY, I think I've got back my mojo).

I've told you about the problem that I've encounter when dealing with Acmamall.com here. And they finally made THIS DECISION:


Now, I can buy more books without being calculative on the shipping cost. YEAY!

Books.. I love books

Yes. And since I love them very much, I bought another. Again from acmamall.com (last month their having 30% discount on selective books). But this time around I was a bit offended with their services. I was about to buy 4 books but 2 was out of stock, thus wanted to change the books which is out of stock to other books BUT unfortunately that method was NOT PERMITTED. But tak pela, at least they refund back my money however I was a bit upset because being kiasu if the out of stock books can be replaced with other books then I can safe on the shipping cost. Hahaha..

Yup, I'm buying the crochet books' as I am hooked to do lots and lots of crochet projects for Zahra and the upcoming baby. Wah, tak sabar rasanya nak kait baby booties, baby hat and others. Ngeee...

Crochet Dress

My activity in the sewing room has been very very slow. In fact, I've not been seeing sewing since after Aidilfitri. I blame the hormonal changes (Yes, I'm expecting a new member in the family next year). However, despite of having a queasiness sensation each time I came close to my sewing corner, I found out that I fond to do crocheting. I can lay in front of the tv and do crocheting like nobody business.

My latest project is to make a dress for my DD. Something that look like this (picture courtesy Google):


But I've been crocheting for two weeks now and the outcome still like this - only managed to finish the collar.


This seems to take ages but I'm trying (so slow yet very addicting). Wish me luck, friends.
